About

Edinburgh Haiku Circle was established in January 2016 with the aim of bringing together people and words while drawing inspiration from Japanese haiku. The circle meets for two hours once a month.  The sessions feature discussions of selected Japanese haiku and the appreciation of haiku composed by participants. The atmosphere is casual and no previous knowledge of the Japanese language is required. A record of haiku composed by our members so far can be perused by clicking a season in the roll-down menu item “Haiku by Season”. Enjoy!

Edinburgh Haiku Circle’s next meeting will be held on May 18th 2024, 2-4pm at the Central Library.  The cost is £5 per person.  Contact Catherine Urquhart (catherine.urquhart102@gmail.com) for further details.
